After a crazy three nights in a Berlin Hostel it was a relief to be able to get some rest here in Helvetia. Great rooms, nice people and a kitchen / communal room that felt just like home. Drinking a cup of tea, reading or writing or just chatting with other guests. Had a grat time. Now off to Vilnius.

overall, it was the staff being very friendly and informative and I think with the facilities such as free internet/wifi access, coffee&tea and provided that the hostel is clean and beds are comfortable to sleep in, every cent of my stay here is definitely worth it.

Ultimately, Helvetia has everything a traveller needs: spacious dorms with storage room, a good central area with cooking facilities and excellent bathrooms. It's so easy to get there from the airport

Czwartek - Walentynki. Miła niespodzianka dla mieszkańców Helvetii - słodki wieczór. Dostępne łakocie na stole kuszą i umilają pobyt w kuchni. Jak u Mamy, z dobrym ciastem. We've stayed in hostels all over the world, and this hostel is the Ritz-Carlton of them all. It is clean and cheerful; it even has photos and pictures on the walls. They even do everything they can think of to keep the noise levels low. If we came to Warsaw again there is no place else we would stay.

I've been in Warszawa in 1974 as a student. Then it was a completely different atmosphere. I remeber the Palace of Science and Culture and Old Town. Some things are the same for instance the wide boulevards. The propaganda on the big buildings is different: now its SONY, NOKIA and Vodafone. But we like Warszawa as it's now. Las year we were in Krakow: we like Warszawa better. The hostel is very good. Nice people at the reception and very helpful. Perhaps in 30 years we'll see each other again:)

I'm back. I just coldn't get enough of Helvetia the first time around so I came back to say goodbye. By the way the chick who wrtote about dust bunnies was a LIAR!!!! Commercial espionage, I say. This place is clean. For a reat hostel in Wroclaw or Krakow, go to the stranger. Strangerhostel.com (thanks for the reccomendation Piotr). To all my friends at reception that I missed seeing, goodbye and thanks for everything. I'll be in touch and I will see you next year.

cleanest hostel i have seen in years! if someone dared me to lick the bathroom floor, i would do it, no hesitation! most generous and personable staff i have met in years, especially karolina and peter. if you are tired and come in from a long day of touristy activity and you want to just come in and pass out, the minute you walk in the door you will be revived and energized from their incredible capacity to have you rolling on the floor laughing and feeling at home again. caution: these people are so great that you may not leave the hostel on the days they are working. yup. your travel plans will be forever changed, forever remembered.

This hostel was great! The atmosphere was lovely- there is a really nice common room where you can meet other travellers and chill out. The staff were so friendly and helpful. It was also very very clean- especially the bathrooms! Good powerful showers and decent kitchen. Location good- a bit of a walk to the centre (15 mins) but really close to bars and clubs. Would definatley go back to this hostel.

Hostel Helvetia is a fantastic place! The staff above all is remarkable. I was sick on May 1st (a National Holiday in Poland) and they searched high and low to find an open pharmacy for me. They gracefully gave me extra blankets, always with a smile. I won't forget them. The place itself is spotless with many bathrooms and showers. I didn't have to wait to use the bathrooms. The rooms are nicely decorated and have nice beds with soft covers and great pillows! This is the best hostel I have ever visited and I will be back for sure whenever I am in Warsaw.
