We`re located in the centre of Warsaw, two minutes walk from the University. Most of city highlights are within walking distance from the hostel. The Royal Road - one of the most beautiful street in th city is reachable in less than a minute. It doesn`t matter if you want to go sightseeing, eating out or clubbing - you don`t need neither taxi nor bus to get to most of the interesting places.

How to find us

To get to the Hostel Hevetia you have to get off the bus at the Warsaw Uniwersity. The bus stop is labelled "UNIWERSYTET". After leaving the bus turn back and follow the main road for about 100 meters until you get to the monument of Copernicus (the guy with globe in his hand). Turn left and go to the building shown on the picture. Entrance is located on Sewerynow street, on the right hand of the main entrance. If you take bus 102 from Central Railway Station, get off at the stop labeled "Nowy Swiat 03". Follow Swietokrzyska Street, turn left in Kopernika and after few meters turn right in Bartoszewisza, then turn left in Sewerynow.

From The Airport

Take bus 175 to UNIWERSYTET stop.
The taxi from the airport would cost about 30-40 PLN depending on the traffic and taxi. Please read information about taxis in section below.

From Warsaw Cental Railway Station

Take bus 102 (the stop is just next to main hall, choose the exit next to tourist information). Exit on the 3rd stop labeled NOWY SWIAT 03. Alternative way is to take a bus 175 (sthe stop is close to Marriott Hotel) and exit on the stop labeled UNIWERSYTET 02.
Taxi from the Central Railway Station should not cost more than 12-20 PLN depending on traffic.

Taking a Taxi in Warsaw

As in every big city, there are a lot of taxis waiting for naive tourists, offering them services for prices as much as four times higher than average. Please read the following:
Do not take "no-name" taxis that have only word "Taxi" in their logo! Take only these ones which have also the name of a company, for example: Wawa Taxi, Halo Taxi, Sawa Taxi, MPT and so on.... Always check the fare - it must be placed on a sticker on one of the windows (see the picture below) and should not be higher than 3 PLN /km

No name taxi - fare 3 PLN / km and big risk of being cheaten	Corporate taxis - fare less than 2 PLN/km and no risk of being cheaten

Taking a Bus in Warsaw

Before taking a bus you have to buy a ticket at a newsagent`s. You can also buy tickets on a bus but you`re expected to have an exact amount (driver does not give balance). Standard ticket costs 2,80 PLN. Ticket on a bus costs 25% more. You have to validate a ticket after getting in. If you have valid ISIC card then you can buy ticket for 1,40 PLN.
